Built in 1904, this beautiful Victorian house retains many of its original Craftsman details. Abigail’s Bed and Breakfast Inn offers comfortable, recently upgraded en-suite guest rooms. In 2014, upgrades of our accommodations began in earnest with new bedding and linen. Then in 2015, custom-built closets, dressers and tables were installed by a local carpenter, and in 2016, the bathrooms underwent an overhaul. Finally, new carpets were laid, and blackout shades replaced the old window blinds.
Boutique shopping at Paddington Station, Village Shoes and many more shops make for a relaxing wander through downtown Ashland. Gourmet restaurants such as Ostras and Hearsay are just a few of our guests’ favorites. The theaters of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, OSF Green Show, Oregon Cabaret Theatre and Lithia Park are all within walking distance from Abigail’s Bed and Breakfast Inn. Southern Oregon University is a short 10-minute drive away, and the local Rogue Valley International Airport is approximately 15 miles away. Ashland, Oregon is also home to a growing Wine Region, hiking trails, biking trails and the Mt Ashland Ski Area.
Abigail’s Bed and Breakfast Inn offers you a choice of five comfortable and distinctive en-suite guest rooms , four of which are in the main house and are named after famous women in U.S. history – Abigail Duniway Room, Abigail Alcott Room, Abigail Rockefeller Room, and Abigail Adams Room. Wake to the delightful wafting smells of freshly ground coffee and home-baked pastries. Enjoy a pre-breakfast coffee whilst sitting on the front porch enjoying the local papers whilst the sun shines on the distant mountains. In the early evenings, watch the setting sun, enjoy a glass of local Southern Oregon Wine, nibble on a snack and chat with friends. The gardens are filled with glorious color throughout Spring and well on into Summer. September brings the ripening of the Concord grapes. October offers a hint of what Autumn has yet to bring in the way of color.
